Member-at-Large Elections

  • The GGFYP Members-at-Large serve two years after running in the Member-At-Large election, where GGFYP members will vote to have a representative on the Board who represents the feelings of the general YP membership. They work to make our members feel invited and comfortable. They are responsible for welcoming new members and help carry out GGFYP activities and events. They are the face of our organization at large events and help coordinate the Annual Launch.
  •
  • All actively registered GGFYP members are eligible to vote and should receive an email with their voter ID and key. If you have not received this email, make sure you’ve renewed your membership or reach out to Gon Carlson at gon@ggfyp.com

Meet the 2026 Candidates...

"My goal is to help amplify GGFYP’s impact in the community by making sure our projects and initiatives align with what members value most. I will represent member priorities and help build connections that increase our visibility and influence."

  • Alex is a University of North Dakota graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, and has called Grand Forks home for the past two years. Since moving here, she’s been actively involved with both GGFYP and UNDYP. Alex loves being engaged in the community and is passionate about building connections and contributing to the place she now calls home. One of Alex’s favorite things about Grand Forks is that there’s always something happening, and loves being part of such a great community

Brianna Sich

She has worked in the human services field for the last 6 years in different capacities, serving the greater Grand Forks area. Brianna leads by example with passion for people and purpose; with the intention of cultivating spaces for other’s to feel empowered, valued, and respected.

Irene Halbritter

"My aim is to foster relationships between members at different stages of their careers, creating spaces where fresh perspectives meet seasoned experience. By encouraging connection, collaboration, and mentorship, I hope to strengthen the GGFYP community, allowing everyone to learn from one another, share their strengths, and grow together."

  • I hold a BA in Business Administration and an MA in International Relations and Immigration Policy. Early in my career, I worked as an accountant and tour guide while completing my graduate studies, and later served as a paralegal for the Red Cross. After relocating to Grand Forks AFB with my family, I became actively involved in the community and was elected as one of the first Honorary Mayors of the Base.
  • I currently work as a legal assistant at Galstad, Jensen & McCann while attending the University of North Dakota part-time to complete the accounting credits required to become a CPA. I also serve as a Commissioner for the Alerus Center, contributing to financial planning, operational strategy, and community engagement. Grand Forks has provided my family with many opportunities, and I am committed to giving back through active service, leadership, and community involvement.
