Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals has 3 main committees, one for each of GGFYP’s three pillars: Community Involvement, Professional Development, and Social Engagement. Our committee chairs works with their committees to create events in-line with GGFYP’s mission: “To enhance our community, create connections, and invest in each other.“
Community Involvement Committee: The Community Involvement Committee focuses on ways to connect Young Professionals to the community. The committee leads or is involved in various community events, YP activities, and volunteer opportunities. Each year, the committee partners with a local non-profit organization to help promote an event.
Professional Development Committee: The Professional Development Committee works to create opportunities for Young Professionals to grow in their careers through formal and informal organized events. Some of the events include luncheons with a professional development related topics, mentoring programs, opportunities to network with area business executives, professional networking, and leadership development seminars.
Social Events Committee: The Social Events Committee hosts monthly social events to help Young Professionals make meaningful connections through new experiences. With recent events such as curling, cooking demonstrations, kayaking, and the social events committee introduces YPs to the many adventures and opportunities our community has to offer.This committee also helps plan signature GGFYP events, including ArtSee, Mini Putt Putt, and the Annual Picnic.
Marketing Committee: The Marketing committee meets once every 6 months to help craft a marketing plan with the budget set aside for advertising and promotion by the Board of Directors.
Student Young Professionals: Our Student YP group is a student organization at UND, NCTC, and UMC open to all part and full time students. Student YP is supported by GGFYP and they plan their own activities specifically to benefit fellow students, including professional speakers and events, networking and socials, service projects, more.

On September 25, 2025, the Longest Table will welcome 1,000 residents to sit down for a free meal in a welcoming environment with people they may not know to foster stronger connections and exchange ideas about how to make greater Grand Forks an even better place to live.
You can pay the $60 regular or $10 full-time student membership fee through PayPal. You may also pay with a check in the mail instead.
If you work for one of our Corporate Members, your membership is available at no charge.
