Not every young professional is wired the same…and GGFYP is built for that. Find where you belong. Whether you want to give back to the community or grow professionally, we’ve got something that fits you.

The best part? You don’t have to pick just one. Find an event that interests you, grab a fellow YP, and have a great time!

GROW

help organize ggfyp events

There are no upcoming events at this time

The events you love don’t plan themselves; they’re built by young professionals just like you. GGFYP’s pillar committee is where members go from attendees to makers, shaping events that define our organization.

It’s a great way to give back to GGFYP, build your professional skills, and put your stamp on what GGFYP looks like this year.

GGFYP is more than events on a calendar, it’s the friendships that happen in between. Whether you want to lead a volleyball team, organize a book club, or build something totally new, GGFYP gives you the community to make it happen.

Have an activity in mind? Reach out to our Members-at-Large (MALs) and get the conversation started!

Lead a ggfyp activity

Become a member-at-large

You’ve learned what GGFYP means to this community; now, imagine helping lead it. The Member-at-Large (MAL) role is the perfect entry point to the GGFYP Board of Directors. No prior board experience required, just a passion for GGFYP and a willingness to show up.

If you’ve been thinking about taking the next step, this is it.

LEAD

joIN THE GGFYP BOARD

Leadership doesn’t happen by accident, it happens when the right people raise their hand.

GGFYP’s Board of Directors is made up of young professionals who chose to go all in for this community. From setting the direction of our events to representing the voice of YPs across Greater Grand Forks, board members lead with purpose and grow in ways that go far beyond the boardroom.

If you’re ready for more responsibility and a bigger seat at the table, we want to hear from you.

GGFYP is founded on three pillars

Community INvolvement

social events

Professional development

Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals is built around three main pillars: Community Involvement, Professional Development, and Social Events. These pillars guide how our pillar chairs organize events, engage our members, and build up our young professionals to become confident leaders.  The results speak for themselves — GGFYP alumni have gone on to become recognized leaders across the region, and the community has taken notice.

GGFYP Ad hoc Committees

Marketing Committee: The Marketing Committee meets quarterly – in February, May, August, and November – to help craft a marketing plan with the budget set aside for advertising and promotion by the Board of Directors. It is a great opportunity to meet other people in the marketing field and brainstorm new ideas.

Student Young Professionals: Our Student YP group is a student organization at UND, NCTC, and UMC open to all part and full time students. Student YP is supported by GGFYP and they plan their own activities specifically to benefit fellow students, including professional speakers and events, networking and socials, service projects, more.
