Amanda grew up in Fargo and moved to Grand Forks in 1999 to go to school at UND. She is director for wellness operations at UND’s Student Wellness Center. She loves getting to know the Grand Forks community and is excited to be involved in GGFYP. She loves hearing from members and helping to get them connected to the issues that are important to them. |

Amy is from River Falls, Wis. She moved here because of her husband’s job. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Amy is an account executive at Midcontinent Communications. In her spare time she likes working out, cooking and spending time with family. |

Joel Larson grew up in Valley City, N.D., and Jos, Nigeria, in West Africa. He moved to Grand Forks in 1998 to attend UND. He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies and Psychology. He attended the UND Law School and graduated in 2005. He is currently employed with Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson Ltd., as an associate attorney. In his spare time he enjoys running, riding bike, and spending time with his wife and two kids. |

Chris Griffin is a native of rural Larimore, N.D., where he still lives. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in political science and a law degree from UND, graduating in 2006. Chris is an assistant state’s attorney in Grand Forks County and state representative for District 19 since 2007. |

Justin enjoyed his childhood in Devils Lake, N.D., in a family of five. Following high school, he completed four years at New York University, with a degree in philosophy. He decided to pursue a medical degree at UND to be closer to family. In January 2007, Justin began work as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He thoroughly enjoys his work, loves spending time with his growing family and looks forward to working alongside many of you to take Grand Forks to the next level. |

Charlene grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from UND in 2005. She is the director of conference center at Alerus Center. She enjoys going to the lake, being with family and shopping. |

Michaela grew up on a farm near South Heart, N.D., then moved to Grand Forks to attend UND. She is currently the marketing associate for the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corp. Michaela enjoys being outside working in the yard, motorcycle trips with her husband, teaching her 7th grade CCD class, and visiting family. |

Shanna grew up in Mohall, N.D. She loved living in a small town and having the opportunity to get involved in so many extracurricular activities. Shanna graduated from UND with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After college, she moved to Minneapolis to work as a mortgage broker. Shanna met her husband at UND and ended up moving back to Grand Forks in 2007. Her husband farms in Stephen, Minn. They have been married since July 2006. They enjoy being back in Grand Forks to be closer to family and friends. She currently is employed by River City Mortgage and Financial with offices in Eagan, Minn., and Grand Forks. Shanna has been a mortgage broker for eight years and loves helping her clients reach their financial goals. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her 2-year-old daughter and playing golf. |

Stacey Dahl Contact Stacey Chairwoman, Social Committee |
Born and raised in Bismarck, N.D., Stacey (Horter) Dahl’s sense of service and commitment to her community come from her strong North Dakota roots. After graduating from Bismarck High School in 2000, Stacey enrolled at UND. The decision to attend UND was not difficult because of the strong family ties; both of her parents and all her siblings have obtained degrees at the university. During her time as an undergraduate, Stacey was active in the Greek community as a Delta Gamma, UND Student Senate and served as the lobbyist for the North Dakota Student Association. She graduated summa cum laude in 2004 with a degree in education. In 2008 she graduated from UND Law School, earning a J.D. with distinction. Stacey is now an assistant city prosectutor for the City of Grand Forks and works at Kalash & Pettit Law Office. In 2004, Stacey was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives and re-elected in 2008. She has served on the Judiciary, Government and Veteran’s Affairs, Natural Resources, Education and Constitutional Revision committees. Stacey and her husband, Gabe Dahl, reside in Grand Forks. Gabe is a teacher and activities director in the Grand Forks Public Schools as well as the head coach for the Grand Forks Legion Baseball program. |
